A radiant body of newly commissioned work for solo and layered cello, with harp and double bass by 6 leading British composers to be released by NMC Recordings on April 25th 2025
This body of work is inspired and tied together conceptually by ideas of light, depth, simplicity, the search for a perfect line, and capturing an otherworldly beauty that these composers represent within their different sound worlds.
Edmund Finnis – Three Solos (solo cello)
Emilie Levienaise Farrouch – Opened (solo cello and loop pedal)
Natalie Klouda – Uhtceare (solo cello)

I am grateful to the PRS Open Fund, the Hinrichsen Foundation, and the Vaughan Williams Foundation for supporting this project along with countless individual donors, both towards the commissions and the recording itself.
